(I've owned all three generations, including two iPad 2's.) I got a slightly different case for each one and I shopped carefully each time so I feel I have a little experience.I don't like the Apple magnetic front-cover which does almost nothing to make the iPad less slippery, which provides very little protection, and doesn't make a very good stand, either. I also don't like the plastic back-only covers which seem to me completely pointless (except as decoration). So all of the cases I've bought and used are of the same book-cover design as this Poetic model: they all provide protection both for front and back, fold like a book cover, and also provide some means of propping the iPad up at and angle for easier viewing on a desk. I would say the pros are: great looking, white leather is nice and doesn't look cheap, all of the openings line up exactly with the ipad3, and is really nice looking with the embedded poetic emblem. Cons: opening and closing is a little tight and hopefully will be a little more loose with age, same goes with the 2 clips inside - when unbuckling is quite tight to unbuckle which make it a little annoying and the reason that I didn't give this a 5, plus the cover is a little bit on the heavier side. I'm pretty confident that the keyboard case will be just as outstanding in quality and craftmanship is StrapBack model. |
